We are a company of dedicated individuals and we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to produce and sell products that represent our essential values. Our success is supported by a community of enthusiasts who share a belief in the importance of these principles. Advocacy is our way of giving back to the ideas and projects of this community.
We believe that our advocacy work should be as diverse as our interests and as such our support takes many forms.
From our fundraising work with international organizations such as Susan G Koman and Wheels For Life, to regional industrial arts internship programs, and event support for the Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA) and the Bicycle Transportation Authority (BTA) we are thankful to have a chance to give back.
In 2004, Chris King Precision Components launched a limited edition series of pink headsets and hubs in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer research. Based on the success and positive feedback we received on this project in September 2006, we added Pretty and Strong pink as a product wide color choice. A portion of the proceeds from each Pretty and Strong sale is donated to the Oregon and SW Washington affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to help fund breast cancer research.
Long time Chris King athlete and international bicycle trials legend Hans Rey believes in the bicycle’s power to transform. Rey founded the non-profit charity Wheels4Life with a simple mission in mind, to provide people in need with the positive potential of a bicycle. We worked with Rey to develop our Dreadset edition headsets. A portion of each Dreadset sale directly supports the Wheels4life mission.
